This enclosure is designed to fit a very specific shaped opening.

One of the biggest challenges we faced was creating a transom that would vent in order to release steam from the top of the enclosure.

We fabricated this steam shower enclosure using 3/8 inch clear tempered glass and antique brushed brass hardware

We used offset wall mount hinges in order to move the shower door as close to the outside of the shower stall as possible. This gives the customer the maximum amount of space inside of the shower.

We also installed some 1/2 inch clear glass shelves that are just visible here to the left.

Once the steam shower is complete, it really compliments the marble and glass tiles that were used to build the shower stall.

Remodel - Project Overview:

This project is located in Scotts Valley, California. The steam shower enclosure, which is located in an addition built above the existing garage, is actually part of the home owner's library.

The unusual shape of the enclosure made installing a vent above the door especially challenging. The homeowner and I worked closely to come up with a solution for this. After quite a bit of collaboration, we were able to make the vent work in a way that was suitable to everyone.
